Location

There is no registration fee. Local accommodation and meals will be covered. Partial travel support is available to a limited number of students. The organizers will review on a case-by-case basis.

The ECCO summer school is hosted at Friday Harbor Labs (FHL) located north of Puget Sound in the San Juan Islands in Washington, USA. The 484 acre campus is the site for thirteen lab buildings, a dining hall, other dorms/housing units. Students are accommodated in shared student dorm rooms during their stay.

The School will begin on Monday, May 20, and finish on Friday, May 31, at 10am. We expect students to arrive at FHL in the afternoon of Sunday, May 19. Information on how to get to Friday Harbor is provided at:

We recommend you make your way from Seattle Tacoma Airport (Sea-Tac) to FHL using the Airporter Shuttle and ferry service at Anacortes.

 

For the return from FHL to Sea-Tac, we are planning to reserve transportation from FHL (including a chartered bus from the ferry terminal at Anacortes) to Sea-Tac. We expect to arrive at the airport by 2pm on May 31.

Check-in will be possible starting 3:30pm on Sunday. Some of the organizers will be setting up shop in the Dining Hall (see map) to assist you with your room assignments.
